Pickbeat Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
Pickbeat is a rhythm game made by Gabriel Tufis (βIβ, βmeβ). This policy explains what information the game and the services it uses collect, why, and what choices you have. It applies to Pickbeat on iPhone, iPad and Android.
- There is no game account and no sign-up. The game does not ask for your name, email address or contacts.
- Your settings and best scores are saved in the app's storage. Your device's backup service may also back them up.
- The free game shows ads through Google AdMob, and purchases are checked through RevenueCat. Those services collect some device and usage data, described below.
- I don't sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
The game saves your settings (volume, audio timing, beat guide and ruler choices), your best haul at each tempo, whether you have finished the tutorial and which skin set you wear. The game stores this in its own storage and does not send it to me. Your operating system may include it in device or cloud backups, according to your backup settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads: optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch for an upgrade reroll or a retry, and an ad at the end of a run. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect:
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (such as your country or city) can be inferred;
- device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID or an app-set identifier, and basic device information (model, operating system, language);
- information about the ads you see and how you interact with them;
- diagnostic data about the ads' performance.
Google uses this to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other places where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are personalised; you can change your choice at any time with AD PRIVACY in the game's settings. On iPhone and iPad the game does not ask for permission to track you, so the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to ads.
Buying No Ads in the game's store stops ads from being shown.

In-app purchases (App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat)
Purchases (the skin sets and No Ads) are paid through Apple's App Store or Google Play. I never see your payment details. To unlock and restore what you bought, the game uses RevenueCat, which receives a random identifier the app creates (not linked to your name or email), your purchase history for this game, and basic device and app information such as the operating system, app version and store country. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Children
Pickbeat is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact me and I will help have it removed.
Your choices and rights
- Read this policy at any time from STORE, PRIVACY POLICY.
- Change your ad consent with AD PRIVACY in the game's settings (where it applies).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (on Android: Settings, Google, Ads).
- Remove the app and its data from your device. Manage any device or cloud backups separately in your operating system's settings.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. I don't run servers that store personal information about players; the data described above is held by Google and RevenueCat. Contact me and I will help you with any request.
Request data deletion
Email gabriel.tufis.dev@gmail.com with the subject Pickbeat data deletion. Say whether you want support messages or purchase-related data deleted, and whether you play on Android or iPhone/iPad. If your request concerns a purchase, include its store order or transaction number so I can locate the record. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. No game account is required.
I can delete support correspondence and the RevenueCat customer record that I can identify. Because the game uses anonymous identifiers, I may need more information to locate a record. Deleting a RevenueCat record may remove its purchase and entitlement history; it does not refund a store purchase. Scores and settings stay on your device and can be removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it; manage backups separately.
Support and retention
If you email me for support or a privacy request, I receive your email address and the information you choose to include. I use it to respond and resolve your request. Apple, Google and RevenueCat may retain transaction, fraud-prevention or legally required records under their own policies after a deletion request. Their retention periods depend on the record and applicable obligations. Removing the app does not delete those records; contact me for help requesting access or deletion of data associated with the game.
Security
The services above send data over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
